Thirteen years on

The old site had served the practice since 2013, but it was built before phones mattered, and its case studies had lost their photos along the way.

The new one is clear, quick and the same on every screen. All 95 of the old addresses still lead to the right page, so links from other dentists and from Google keep working.

The old home page: a narrow boxed layout on black, a grey menu bar and a slideshow of an implant crown and a smiling patientThe new home page: “Teeth that feel like your own again” in large type on white, beside a photo of Dr Ross Cutts

The old home page as the Internet Archive last kept it, in August 2025, and the new one.

Bite Size, brought home

Bite Size Education is the practice’s monthly evening study club for local dentists. Since 2023 it had lived on a website of its own. Now it’s part of the main site, with all 35 courses and every booking carried across, and the old Bite Size addresses forwarding to the new pages.

The practice runs it themselves. Adding a course takes a couple of minutes: date, time, venue, CPD hours, fee, tutors and information sheets, each field with a line saying what it does on the website. The status looks after itself, from Booking open to Past course, and one switch marks a course as full.

  • Booking, unchangedDentists book on the course page. The practice gets an email, the booking lands in their spreadsheet and the dentist joins the mailing list, just as before.
  • Past courses keptEvery past course stays on the site, a record of the study club’s work since 2023.
  • Tutors from the teamPick a tutor from the team and their photo and biography appear on the course.

Referrals, kept secure

Dentists across Gloucestershire send their patients here for implants, scans and specialist care, so referring had to be quick, and it had to be secure.

The online referral form isn’t a website form at all. It runs on a secure, encrypted service: the referring dentist fills it in, attaches X-rays and sends it straight to the practice. No referral or health details are ever sent through or stored on the website. Dentists who prefer paper can download the same form as a PDF or a Word document.

Every photo in the same light

The practice’s photos had been taken over many years, in different rooms and different light. We edited every one so they share the same soft, natural light and the same colour: the surgeries, reception and the team, from the dentists to the front desk.

Results

The new website went live on 19 October 2026. It scores 100 for speed on a computer, runs the practice’s courses without a separate site, and keeps every referral off the website.
